Engine 252
Engine 252 is a 2006 Pierce Arrow Xt Pumper and is the our primary response engine for most fires and alarms out of the Skyline Area. 252 is first due on all reported fires, fire alarm activations and other types of fire related emergencies out of our area while 251 responds in the Skyline Area. 252 holds 1,500 feet of 5 inch supply hose as well as 300 feet of 3 inch and a 2 1/2 attack hose. It holds three 200 foot crosslays for used for fire attack. 252 has a 2,000 gallon per minute pump with a 750 gallon water tank and a 50 gallon foam tank.
Engine 252 was placed into service on Monday December 11, 2006 after a weekend of moving equipment from one engine to the other.
Engine 252 has room for a driver, officer, and 6 firefighters. There are 5 seats that contain Air Packs and two flip down seats in the rear of the cab that firefighters ride to calls in. also contained in the crew area are various flashlights, and portable radios used for firefighters to communicate with.
Engine 252 carries equipment much similar to Engine 252. It has 1,500 feet of 5in supply line as well as 300 feet of 3inch and 2 1/2 inch attack line. One of the new features of the Engine is an internal foam tank to put out special kinds of fires.
