Boy Scouts Visit SLFD
On the evening of February 4, 2016, members of Pack 140 were welcomed to the firehouse for a tour. They also learned about the personal protective equipment used by firefighters and were taught how to properly use a fire extinguisher. |
SLFD Craft Show and Wetdowns
Save the date! Saturday, May 14, 2016 will be a busy day for all of the Ringwood Fire Departments. First, stop by SLFD for our Craft and Vendor Show & Pet Adoption beginning at 10 AM through 3 PM. Then, head over to Erksine Lakes Fire Department at 70 Mohawk Trail to see their new Engine 243 and Ringwood Borough Volunteer Fire Company #1 (Stonetown) Tanker 263 be welcomed to the community with a Wetdown celebration! Ice Rescue on Erskine Lake
At approximately 7:50 PM on Friday, January, 22, 2016, all Ringwood Fire Departments, Ringwood Ambulance Corps, and the Ringwood Dive Team were dispatched Erskine Lakes Little Beach on a report of a person who fell through the ice on the lake. The person was found approximately 75 feet off shore and was quickly rescued by emergency personnel. See the attached article here for more details.

Santa Claus came to visit the residents of Skyline Lake on Sunday, December 20, 2015. Candy Canes were passed out, but only to those who were on the "nice" list! Santa expects to return next year, so be sure to be good in 2016! |
Santa Claus Is Coming To Town!
Santa Claus is coming to town!
That's right! Santa Claus is coming to Ringwood once again this year. Next Sunday, December 6th, come out and see Santa at the Fieldstone Shopping Center.
We also just received word from the North Pole that Santa will once again have just enough time to squeeze in before Christmas to visit the Skyline Lake area on our fire truck! Listen for the sirens and be sure to look for him beginning around 10 AM on Sunday, December 20th!
